Nn3 Saddle Tank Loco - # 3 (Dawn)

This is a Peco white metal kit and has been designed to fit on a Marklin 8800 chassis.  It is a relatively easy kit to assemble, however, I found that there was a bit of work cleaning up the joints and castings.  I have wired a micro CT Elektronic DCX76z decoder into this loco which is an amazingly small chip (certainly the smallest I have ever seen!).  With only a minimal amount of milling the chip has fitted into the underside of saddle tank of the locomotive.  The only job left to do is design, print and apply some decals.

Unfortunately the photo shows up the coarseness of the paint job which is not immediately obvious from a normal viewing distance.  Hopefully some good weathering will improve the look, and if not, I may have to have another go at painting the loco.
